В пятницу, 18го мая, в Андаманском море дайверами с Пхукета было предотвращено самое настоящее преступление против экологии и морских обитателей! Совершая очередной выход в море - капитан судна с дайверами заметил рыболовный траулер с необычным пассажиром на борту - китовой акулой! Вылов китовых акул в Таиланде запрещен законом - китовая акула занесена в Мировую Красную книгу.
Сознательные дайверы устроили погоню за траулером - и таки догнали его! Конечно же, расставаться с таким уловом рыболовам не хотелось, но под натиском дайверов и десятков свидетелей - акулу все таки выпустили обратно в море. Видео спасения акулы дайверы снимали на смартфоны. Сложно сказать - выживет ли акула, так как не известно сколько времени она провела на борту траулера.
Все отснятые видео и фото материалы были отправлены в соответствующие органы - полицию и департамент защиты океана. Со слов властей - капитана двух рыболовецких траулеров ждет штраф до 3 миллионов бат с конфискацией обоих судов. Если будет доказано, что его действия были умышленными (это будет решать суд) - то еще и 4 года тюрьмы. Уже сегодня капитана траулера лишили лицензии на рыбную ловлю без возможности восстановления, конфискованы все рыболовные снасти и весь улов.
Banjong Nasae, президент Ассоциации тайских мореходов, сказал, что не впервые рыбацкие лодки ловят редких морских животных, и этот инцидент ясно показал, что они разрушают морскую экосистему и нуждаются в более жестком контроле, что, если б никто не заметил, экипаж не выпустил бы акулу в море, а вместо этого продал бы ее на рынке.
